What is Codemotion
Codemotion is one of the biggest tech conferences in EMEA for software developers, with an international network of 40.000 developers and 1500 speakers.
Codemotion is open to all languages and technologies. We want to bring together top skilled professionals who like to think out of the box and want to understand the intersections in technology and programming: our call in includes but is not limited to developers, designers, architects, startupper, game developers, makers etc.
We are really committed to create the most inclusive tech Conference ever, hence we do support application from underrepresented groups. Check our Code of Conduct.
When & Where
Codemotion Milan will take place at Politecnico di Milano – Bovisa | Building BL27 on November 25th and 26th.
Call for Paper Deadline: July, 7th 2016
Depending on the amount and the quality of the submissions Agenda will be live presumably in October, and accepted speakers will be notified hopefully 60/45 days before the event.
Codemotion format is made by up to 7 parallel tracks: each session, Keynote included, is 40 minutes long.
Target and Topics
Codemotion Milan has drawn about 1800 attendees in 2015, and we are expecting nothing less for 2016.
Since our conference attracts developers, IT professionals and tech lovers with varying professional backgrounds and levels of experience we are looking for talks which provide them with:
- showcase technical excellence, latest research and cutting-edge technologies,
- provide hands-on knowledge that is both useful for their job and which
- share best practices and case studies helping them become better developers.
We are looking forward to your ideas related to the following tracks:
- Game DEV
- Cloud/Big Data
Submissions that do not fit into these categories are also welcome, provided that they are relevant or inspirational for the tech community.
At Codemotion Milan we are going to focus some talks on Virtual Reality and Go language, so applications on this topics are warmly welcome!
The conference language is both English and Italian, but since our audience is getting more international and skilled, we will accord preference to Advanced level proposals, preferable provided in English.
First time speaker?
If you never had a chance to deliver a session before, don’t be afraid! Codemotion is always eager to find new voices! Don’t hesitate to submit a talk proposal, we would be more than happy to have you in our speaker’s roster if your proposal is interesting, event if it’s your first time.
Our Advisory Board is happy to provide tutoring and support! If needed, drop a line to firstname.lastname@example.org
We plan to record and share on our media channel some selected talks for free, along with the recording of the slide deck and eventually, live demo.
We will also upload on our Slideshare channel the slides of all the sessions and share on our Facebook page the pictures taken during the conference.
We do this for the benefit of all the people who won’t be able to attend the conference.
We hope you agree with us, otherwise let us know, we will work things out.
